Santa Ana is a coastal municipality in the province of Cagayan.

The municipality has a land area of 440.81 square kilometers or 170.20 square miles which constitutes 4.69% of Cagayan’s total area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 35,688. This represented 2.81% of the total population of Cagayan province, or 0.97% of the overall population of the Cagayan Valley region. The municipal center of Santa Ana is situated at approximately 18° 27′ North, 122° 9′ East, in the island of Luzon. Elevation at these coordinates is estimated at 7.0 meters or 23.0 feet above mean sea level.
